Leicester City fire Shakespeare

New Telegraph (Tuesday, 17 October)

Leicester City have parted company with first-team manager Craig Shakespeare. The 53-year-old, who took the role on a permanent basis in the summer, has led his side to one victory in their first eight matches of the campaign. Monday night’s 1-1 draw with West Bromwich Albion leaves the Foxes in the bottom three with six points. Shakespeare had been placed in temporary charge at the King Power Stadium in February following the departure of Claudio Ranieri and guided the club to a 12th-place finish.
